and this is my story.
It
was the way she a) made science ridiculous fun, b) always talked about
boogers and c) would grade and decorate homework with rubberstamps that
both excited me and kick-started my journey to the creative side.
Influenced by her, I purchased my first rubberstamp: the two-part Troll stamp with the crazy hair you could stamp in different colors. Amazing.
Rubberstamping awakened papercrafts (like book-binding, scrapbooking, and photoframes) which, along with hanging out with my gadget-fiendish brother and father, developed my hunger to build and sew. So... figuring out how to make things and make them work for me (and you!)is the name of my evolution as an artist.
I am influenced and inspired by nature, science, life and it's forms, music, diversity, and fun! I adore paisley, colors of Earth-tone, soul and the hiphop underground, wood grain, the seventies, and Etsy - great community of independent artists and appreciators of that art.
I delight in knowing that the money that I personally spend on independent art supports a positive and noteable movement and I hope you do, too!
Thank You for Stopping by QuietDoing and Supporting Indie Craft!
